Smoky Valley Farm & Supply is your Equine and Livestock Supply Headquarters, but we did not start out that way.  In fact, we started out as just Smoky Valley Farm, a family farm where we raise purebred Simmental cattle for the seed stock market and enjoy our passion for horses.  During our search for the right nutrition for our livestock and equine friends, we were lucky enough to have a friend recommend Rowe Nutrition feeds.  Within a short period of time on Rowe we watched our animals bloom!  In addition, our feed costs went down dramatically.  Talk about icing on the cake!  Within a month our friends were asking us what we were doing differently with our animals.  Sure enough I was ordering Rowe feed for our friends in record time.  During this process of becoming a Rowe dealer, almost overnight, I discovered the best part of Rowe Nutrition is sharing my knowledge with our customers.  Gene Rowe, my mentor, is a fountain of nutrition knowledge.  He will be the first to tell you how to properly nourish your livestock, and save money in the process.  Rowe Nutrition is not going to sell you extras you do not need.  Its high-quality product stands for itself!

These recent years, Gene Rowe has cultivated my passion in animal nutrition.  We have spent countless hours discussing animal husbandry that I  get to share with my customers.  When our local 4-H and FFA members come to us for nutrition assistance with their projects, I am there.  The one thing my husband Randy and I enjoy most is watching our local 4-H and FFA members grow, learn and take pride in their accomplishments.  Our summers are spent happily in the stands of the local fairs supporting youngsters as they show off all their hard work, with their well-fed livestock!   Yes, I have to admit tears of joy fall each time those we cherish get that Grand Champion slap, or that Supreme Champion handshake.

Above all else, we are grateful to have such loyal and wonderful customers who have made it possible for us to diversify our business beyond the feed.  This past year we have grown so that we can help you save money not just on feed, but by also offering a very large variety of affordable vet, farm & show supplies.

We know farming.  We know the risks and the rewards, the heartbreaks and the moments of absolute joy that come with it.  We hear your stories of how your heart was broken last night as you lost your favorite goat during kidding, or how that prize cow finally had that long awaited and beautiful healthy heifer calf yesterday.  We understand it, we live it, we feel it, and we are blessed that you, our customers, allow us to be a part of it all.

My passion has always been horses. This is my "tall, dark & handsome" A.K.A Caletto, my Friesian Sporthorse. If I am not in the store, then chances are I am at the barn with my boy.

My passion may be horses, but I do have a soft spot for our Simmentals, especially my bull, Fireball. As you can see we breed for docility! Even two years later he is a big baby and the first to put his head in the halter for me out in the field. What can I say. He is a BIG mama's boy!
